At South Central Prep we want to foster strong and trusting bonds with both students and their families right from the start. South Central Prep coordinates the athlete’s education with Epic Charter Schools, we customize the learning experience around each individual student, to fit their unique educational needs.
Founded in 2011, Epic Charter Schools is Oklahoma’s largest public virtual charter school – and among the largest of its kind in the U.S. – serving approximately 30,000 students from PreK-12th grade in all 77 counties statewide.
Epic is authorized by the Oklahoma Statewide Virtual Charter School Board and fully accredited by the Oklahoma State Department of Education and Cognia.
Epic provides Oklahoma students and families with a modern, tuition-free, online learning experience with one-on-one instruction from an Oklahoma-certified teacher, supplemented by in-person support as needed.
Students are empowered to work at their own pace in their environment of choice, select courses based on personal interests and career goals, and tailor class schedules to fit their unique lifestyles.
Epic offers each enrolled student a $1,000 “Learning Fund” credit that can be used to purchase core and supplemental curricula, educational technology and extracurricular activities.
Beyond Academics
We want to build our young men up and prepare them for life outside of basketball. We’ll bring in special guests and speakers who will help them create a foundation of life skills like financial literacy, successful study habits, and business acumen.
